Web designer or want to be one?
By Cheryl on Jun 28, 2009 in Advice for Newbie Web Designers, Business Tips/Advice
I came across this excellent post the other day on Twitter, dragged it off to read on my break, and just find it perfect. Are you thinking of making a career in web design and development? Read it. Are you currently a professional web designer and frustrated with prospective clients who want it all on the cheap? Read it.
Just read it. And tell me your solution — how you address this phenomenon — in the comments (please).

I was talking with a new client the other day for a patisserie and she commented on that people just do not realize the amount of work that goes into creating a cake (birthday, wedding, etc.), and that clients don’t understand why can’t it be ready tomorrow, or why does it cost so much.
We both agreed that the vast majority of people just don’t understand the prep work that is involved in baking or web design/development.
