When you start out, chances are that you are going to underestimate quite a bit, until you learn to anticipate problems, do a more thourough inteview with the client as to their needs, likes, wants, dreams, visions. Be prepared for the scopecreepvampire clients. You’ll get them when you start out, your radar has not yet developed. There are actually clients out there that are fair and value your time/expertise/knowledge/skillset. Don’t let the vampires suck you out of your creative roots. It might help to look at your time as merchandise. Each hour it takes to do something is a physical object. Charge for the items honestly and appropriately. Always. No, didn’t think so.
