About Joni

Joni Mueller is one half of Pixelita Designs, a Houston, Texas-based web design shop specializing in WordPress-, CMS Made Simple- and TextPattern-driven small business and professional web sites. Her partner is Belgrade, Serbia graphic artist Ivan Minic, who owns and operates Burek Forum, the largest Internet forum in Serbia.

Joni has been designing web sites for hire since 2002. Her Zen Minimalist theme was named “Most Versatile Design” in Alex King’s WordPress Theme Competition in 2005 and remains one of the top minimalist designs available. She started using WordPress in March 2004, around the time of the Movable Type licensing debacle, and has been hooked ever since.

Joni holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas (1981). She and her husband and cat (and shoe collection) live in a 1930s bungalow in a quiet old section of Houston. Joni’s long term goal is to have all her boxes unpacked this year (from the move in July 2006!).
