About succinct Cheryl

I’ve been fascinated with web development since moving from print layout work in the mid-90s and find the constantly changing landscape challenging and invigorating (and occasionally exhausting).

Someone recently asked me (as happens frequently with web designers), “Isn’t this something anyone can do?” Of course, the answer is, “Yes. Anyone can buy a software and make a web page.”

Just like anyone can build a house. I can. I can buy lumber and tools and look at how other houses are built. But this isn’t something I’ve put years of study into, so I don’t know if you’d feel comfortable (and safe!) moving in.

As much time as I spend online and/or on my beautiful Mac, I need time away and that’s when I’m gardening, biking, reading, painting, or a dozen other interesting pasttimes.
